Our pupils raised £818 for Children in Need by making, decorating and selling biscuits, cakes, holding a sponsored Spotty Bumps, face painting and making winter slime.

The young people have been working together to plan and deliver the school’s fundraising for Children in Need, while developing their own leadership and enterprise skills.

They took part in a range of activities which helped them gain valuable experience in motivating others by ensuring all the school’s year groups were engaged in the activities, which kept the fundraising momentum going throughout the day.

Clare Daddy, Executive Principal, of Thornbury Primary Leadership Academy, said:

“Raising £818 for Children in Need is a great achievement which will contribute to the charity’s outstanding work with the most vulnerable children. I am extremely proud of them all!”

The School Council said:

“When we looked into supporting Children in Need, we realised there are young people who are not as blessed as us, so it was a fantastic chance to help them. We were very happy to see our friends giving money to charity. I hope we can make a difference to the lives of children that are less fortunate.”
