Generous pupils have delivered sacks full of toys to children less fortunate than themselves as part of the school’s Festive Winter Gift Programme.

Pupils have been taking part in fundraising activities, donating gifts to people in need of support and giving their time volunteering to demonstrate their contributions to the wider community through charitable actions. They have been spreading festive cheer throughout their community by supporting local people this winter.

The pupils collected gifts and toys to help put smiles on the faces of children which will be distributed by the Salvation Army.

Pupil mayor Ali said:

“It warmed my heart thinking I could help make a difference during this festive period and so I hope our toys and gifts help put a smile on the faces of children in Bradford less fortunate than ourselves.”

Principal Clare Daddy added:

“We like to encourage our pupils to think of others. I am overwhelmed and so proud of the response of our school community. It has been very heartening to see our pupils coming together to organise the collection of donations for the Salvation Army. Children and their parents have been so generous in donating so many gifts and I’d like to thank them all for their generosity.”
