Welcome to the home learning page for Year 3 – Updated Nov 2020
Whilst children are home, it is crucial that they continue to learn. All children will be provided with a printed work pack to complete if they are self-isolating. This pack includes a timetable showing what work needs to be completed each day. It is essential that pupils complete the work provided and return it to their class teacher on their return to school. Support from Teachers and Learning Support Assistants is always available during school hours via DOJO or via telephone.
Moving forward we will be moving towards providing all work online via MS Teams, where we will share pupils work whilst they are working from home.
Please click on the links below to watch a video showing how to access MS Teams:
Below you will also find links to some online resources for pupils to access, which will support your child’s learning. There are also some links to live daily videos with activities such as PE, Art and RWI Phonics. It is important to try get some exercise in every day. All children in Year 2 should also be accessing Times Table Rockstars at least 3x a week.
You should have received a letter from school with information about an app/website called Class Dojo. The app can be downloaded for free on to your phone or tablet or accessed as a website. Class Dojo gives you direct access to your child’s class teacher whilst we are away from school. This will allow you to send messages or photos of any work so that teachers can provide feedback to help your child progress with their work. This is also a great place to upload pictures of work so that you can share any amazing work with class teachers so that they can give them praise and award Dojo points for any excellent work. You will also find links to activities that we think the children will enjoy and we will share information on the class story.
If you are struggling with Class Dojo, or don’t have your child’s Times Table Rockstars account details or have any questions about your child’s learning, please contact school on 01274665812 or email@example.com . Alternatively, you can speak to your contact person from school and inform them of any issues you have.
Take care and stay safe, Mrs Evans, Miss Munir and Mrs Khaliq, Mr McKinlay
