Pupils at Thornbury Primary Leadership Academy enjoyed an “Easter Eggstravaganza” to mark the end of another successful term. Our children had the opportunity to showcase their design skills by creating a spectacular array of Easter bonnets decorated with all the hallmarks of Spring – including rabbits, lambs and chicks. In spite of winter long outstaying its welcome, there was a real sense of anticipation for the change of season, and pupils certainly had a “spring” in their step when they were given the opportunity to take part in their very own Easter Parade.

Principal Clare Daddy said,

“Our children have been learning about Lent, the significance of Easter in the Christian faith, and how the Easter egg came to prominence as a sign of new life and rebirth. It has been wonderful to see our pupils demonstrating their creative flair and celebrating all that Easter represents. We have some very talented designers at the academy and I would like to thank all the families who offered a helping hand. We know our pupils are very excited for the impending Easter weekend and we hope everyone has a relaxing and enjoyable break.”
